Casual studio access suited for those who plan to only make work every now and then, you will have the same access to all the shared equipment available, including a communal shelving space for work in progress.

Firing service is offered on site so you won't have to travel with you work risking damage.

Full Time: 24/7 $650 pcm
Part Time: Mon-Thu $350 pcm
Part Time: Fri-Sun $350 pcm
Shared: $700 pcm (Shared between 2 person, only one can be using the studio at any given time. This is designed for people who might have schedule that doesn't fit into the part time days, and have a friend that they can organise who gets what days among themselves)

Membership is designed for emerging artists who are honing their craft and considering taking the leap to full time. Artists will have access to a shared workspace, with allocated storage plus additional shared storage.

Also included:

  • 24 hour access to studio* (Except 2 time slot for classes on Thursday & Sunday at 6:30pm - 9:00pm)
  • Membership firing rate @ $6 per kg after firing
  • Communal firing service in the studio, no transportation required
  • Access to Shimpo Whisper wheels
  • Dedicated shelf + communal shelves
  • Allocated locker
  • Shared workbench & equipments
  • Work can be sold via our retail & online gallery, more information below
  • Selected work featured in a monthly newsletter - new members will also receive a special feature

 *Regular studio hours are 6 AM to 10 PM, with additional hours available on request. This is to ensure our security system can be updated accordingly.

We will provide marketing and postage of all sale items, ensuring you have more time to focus on your craft. 

  • You (the Resident/Member) decide on the work and price
  • Work can be withdrawn from gallery 14 days after processed
  • Products will be clearly labelled with the maker’s details
  • Product Photography included with images free to use on social media and to sell work if it is withdrawn from 1280 following the 14-day timeframe
  • Items will be available for purchase both in store and in the online gallery
  • Shipping & Handling arranged by 1280 at no additional charge to you
