Join Hilary Green for a cosy night of candle stick sculpting and wish candle making. This is a rare chance to create an exquisite candle set in celebration of Winter Solstice. Hilary will guide you to craft your own ceramic candlesticks and then pair it with your own hand dipped beeswax candles.

Learn special techniques to achieve organic textures for your one of a kind functional piece. Come and join us for mulled wine, candle light and good company at 1280.

About Hilary:

Hilary Green is a Melbourne-based artist who has worked with clay for over 7 years. Her hand building style is inspired by organic forms, ancient architecture, the ocean, and mythology. In hand building classes, Hilary is passionate about teaching students explorative techniques with the clay to bring about your own style. 

Her work aims to blend a touch of the surreal with functional objects as she is fascinated by the concept of magic domesticity. Often inspired by ancient shapes, she twists familiar forms with modern colours and imperfect textures.
